Richard Mau II MBA
In 2011 Ricky earned his Eagle Scout Badge, and graduated from Plant City High School
In 2014, Ricky earned an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice Studies from Hillsborough Community College.
In 2016, he joined the U.S. Army as an 11B Infantryman and was stationed in Oahu, Hawaii. During his service, he trained with the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force in Osaka, Japan.
In 2019, Ricky transitioned from active duty to the Florida Army National Guard. He supported hurricane relief efforts and assisted with COVID-19 testing during the 2020 pandemic. While serving in the National Guard, he was deputized as a U.S. Marshal during civil unrest in Washington, D.C.
In 2021, Ricky graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. He deployed to Bosnia for international training exercise.
In 2022 He deployed to Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Kuwait. During his deployment to Syria, he enrolled at the University of Florida. He learned to drive stick shift while in Saudi Arabia, he was the rear element commander for security operations guarding U.S. Convoys. In Syria he was perimeter security engaging drones, personal security escort, and performed foot patrols. While in Kuwait he managed checkpoints at the Kuwaiti port.
In 2023 He started MAU LLC, an ammunition manufacturing company that provides firearm services and products.
He retired from the National Guard in 2024.
In 2025 Ricky graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters of Business Administration
He joined USAA as an Insurance Professional III, where he has earned his Associate in Insurance, Associate in Risk Management, 20-44 personal Lines, 2-20 general lines license and 06-20 Adjusters License.
He left USAA, and founded Mau Insurance in 2026.
